University student team bagged covaled first price of folk dance at inter universities National Youth Festival held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, during 29th Jan. to 2nd Feb. 2001 under the leadership of Dr. Satyajeet Chikhalikar, director of student's welfare section of the university.

Same team had bagged the second prize for the same dance earlier at west zone inter collegiate youth festival held at Shivaji University, Gwalior.

The team is expected to give its performance at the international youth festival to be organized in the near future. The vice chancellor and the University community, congratulated Dr. Chikhalikar and team at their achivement.
