The School was
started in 1994 by upgrading the Chemistry Course being
conducted at the erstwhile sub-center of Marathwada University,
Aurangabad. The School follows a strict academic regime. School
offers a two years post graduate course (M.Sc.) in Chemistry.
The course is distributed over four semesters. Three
specializations are offered in second year of the course at
beginning of third semester. School conducts minimum 3 monthly
tests for each paper in a semester. Minimum one seminar in
semester is compulsory for each student. In order to develop
research attitude research project at semester IV is a part of
curriculum. The school arranges lectures of distinguished
persons from various research organizations, educational
institutes and universities under the guest lecture programme.
This helps to have the interaction of school with them and by
this programme the staff and the students are benefited.
One-month industrial training and collection of medicinal plants
is also a part of the curriculum. It is proposed to convert the
specialisations being offered into full fledged M.Sc. courses.
